Job description

Room Inspector

We're looking for a detail-oriented Room Inspector to lead our housekeeping quality control and help deliver a clean, welcoming experience for every guest. In this role you'll inspect guest rooms, support the housekeeping team, and keep our property running to a high standard. If you have an eye for detail and enjoy leading a team, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do

  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and quality, making sure each one meets our standards before it's ready for guests
  • Mark rooms ready for occupancy and keep room status accurate in the computer system and on the board
  • Make sure rooms, linens, carts, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas are stocked and set up correctly
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings, check uniforms, and direct the floor team
  • Report room and common area issuesโ€”structural, equipment, or plumbingโ€”to maintenance, write up work orders, and follow up to completion
  • Train the team on safe, proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, including labeling, storage, safety gear, and safe lifting
  • Assist housekeeping and houseman team as needed
What We're Looking For

  • At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel, motel, or similar setting (recent experience preferred)
  • Experience with inspections or quality control, plus some leadership experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Comfortable coaching and directing a team
  • Basic computer and phone skills
  • Able to manage and prioritize a busy workload
  • Friendly and professional, even with difficult guests
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
