Role Description The Sample Room Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, supporting the daily operations of the sample room and ensuring timely, accurate handling of garment samples. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and maintaining sample inventory, tracking sample movement, and preparing garments for fittings, photoshoots, and presentations. The role involves coordinating with design, production, and merchandising teams to label, tag, and document samples, as well as assisting with measurements, garment checks, and basic quality control. The Sample Room Assistant will help keep the sample room clean, orderly, and efficient, manage shipping and receiving of samples, and update logs or digital systems to reflect current sample status. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment with tight deadlines.

List of Responsibilities:

  • Creating the fabric/trim board for each collection
  • Sourcing/ordering seasonal color trims for each season
  • Monitoring all trims and supplies in sample room (pattern paper, brown paper, muslin, etc.)
  • Pulling patterns and requesting corresponding samples from warehouse
  • Creating RMA to return samples to warehouse each week
