Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Active Michigan RN license in hand at time of submission
  • BLS certification required
  • CAC certification required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • General OR and trauma experience required
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
  • Ability to provide 2 supervisory references
  • Flu vaccination required per facility policy
  • Candidate must be able to commit to call and weekend coverage as scheduled

  • Provide skilled circulating and/or scrub support in the operating room
  • Assist with a broad range of surgical cases, including trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary procedures
  • Maintain patient safety standards in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams to ensure smooth case flow
  • Prepare, manage, and troubleshoot specialized OR equipment and technology
  • Follow sterile technique, infection control, and universal protocol standards
  • Support accurate specimen handling, documentation, and charting in Epic
  • Respond appropriately to trauma and emergency surgical cases
  • Participate in call coverage and weekend scheduling as needed
