Job description


Job Summary:
The roofing project manager will coordinate work schedules with clients and subcontractors and inform subcontractors and property owners of any changes to the schedule. The roofing project manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of multiple production crews, including designating material staging areas, overseeing and training individuals in roofing system installations, and crew personnel management scheduling and issues. The roofing project manager will be responsible for installing roofing systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties, Functions, and Core Accountabilities:
  • Maintain job site records, daily reports, delay requests, and weather reports as required
  • Monitor job progress and control costs
  • Resolve problems and issues that may arise - including both technical and contractual.
  • Provide support to the Construction manager as required for materials, schedule, and cost information.
  • Prepare estimates for minor change orders.
  • Provide information/support to estimators for major change orders.
  • Maintain a change order status log.
  • Keep Accounts Receivables informed of all pending and approved change orders.
  • Submit monthly billings based on contract requirements.
  • Attend Daily Department Team meetings; and Weekly Scheduling meetings, if applicable
  • Schedule Reroofs once the permit is issued
  • Schedule and Attend Final Inspections
  • Notify Solar Operations of completion in order to schedule Solar installation

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Site Survey and Take off on roofing projects
  • Coordinate with permit package preparer (Black Hawk Construction)
  • Request Material bids and prepare P.O.s
  • Monitor job progress and record all events and communications in ZOHO
  • Maintain communication with the client to keep them informed and engaged
  • Maintain communication with Solar Operations to keep them informed

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Extensive experience in the design, construction, and current codes applicable to roofing systems for residential and commercial applications is a must.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Availability of six days a week, including nights and weekends

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Essential physical requirements, included climbing, prolonged periods of standing and being on feet, stooping, bend, squat, stretch.
  • Physical effort/liftingup to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all weather and climates
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics
  • Must be able to work with heights; ascends/descends a ladder to rooftops.
