Job description

The Repair Technician is responsible for completing home repairs related to roofing, which may include but is not limited to roofing, siding, wood trim work, metal flashing, and gutters. Work is to be completed to manufacturer and Schoenherr Roofing quality standards. This person is responsible for customer service from initial engagement to completing the project and leaving the job site. While on site the Repair Technician is to ensure proper procedures are followed for safety, which includes protecting the customer, their family, their pets, and their property. The Repair Technician is also responsible for providing accurate estimates of required time and materials, including change orders, so estimates can be provided to the customer. This involves documenting each job with photos and notes in the CRM system.

Responsibilities

Deliver the “Schoenherr Roofing 5-Star Customer Experience”:

Provide each customer with a best-in-class experience through trust, reliability, and living out our core values from first contact to final inspection.

Quality Assurance:

Review project details, schedule crews or technicians, and ensure materials are ordered and delivered

Follow the tradesman’s rule: “Measure twice, cut once”

Perform final job inspections and document job details in JobNimbus

Repairs:

Follow the Repair SOP

Review job notes, customer photos, and scope of work prior to arrival

Contact homeowner 30 minutes prior to arrival

Execute repairs thoroughly and professionally

If additional materials or changes are needed, contact the RSL to confirm pricing and determine if the job can be completed same-day

Upon completion, walk the customer through the work, collect payment, and upload all photos and notes to the CRM

Keep the RSL informed of any schedule changes or escalations

Requirements
  • 3-year minimum trade experience; hands-on roofing experience required.
  • Completed various project management courses as well as a GED or high school diploma.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace.
  • Skilled in solving quality related issues and in using hand and power tools to complete carpentry and metal tasks related to roofing, siding, wood trim, flashing and gutters.
  • Working knowledge of technological tools and ability to utilize various software systems.
  • A tenacious and dedicated approach to life. Always striving to better yourself personally and professionally.
  • Ability to safely climb a ladder, crawl through attics, and walk on top of steep roofs.
  • Comfortable with heights.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and setup a ladder (50 lbs.).
  • Working knowledge of technological tools and ability to utilize various software systems.
  • Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record preferred.
