Position Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position of Production Field Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and supervising commercial production roofing crews on multiple jobsites and locations.  This position manages projects from start to finish, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship, quality and production. 
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and supervise roofing field operations with daily worksite visits to ensure project specifications are met;
  • Regularly inspect work progress, equipment and jobsites to ensure all work order details and safety protocols are followed;
  • Work closely with Production foremen to train roofing field staff with an emphasis on safety and employee development;
  • Maintain documentation of projects, identifying variances, monitor expenditures and implement corrective action when necessary;
  • Coordinate inspections from manufacturers and governing authorities, as needed;
  • Communicate with Operations team regularly on work progress;
  • Conduct materials inventory as needed and;
  • Additional duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements:
  • Commercial roofing experience, 5+ years, required;
  • Supervisory experience, 2+ years, required;
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English), highly desirable;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; 
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally 
  • Ability to work in an outdoor setting, with varying weather conditions; 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, job specifications, technical procedures and/or government regulations; 
  • Valid Driver’s license; 
  • Ability to follow instructions, perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines, and maintain a strong level of professionalism; 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and; 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel. 
 
Working Conditions:
  • Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and varying temperatures.  General office environment with typical office machines and exposure to noise and temperature.
  • Physical Effort: Extensive sitting, standing, bending, walking, kneeling, all expected activities.  Ability to climb ladders and lift more than 25 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. on occasion.   
  • Travel: Mostly local; within 1 hour.

Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000; BOE
 
This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, skills, training and experience. This position may also be eligible for bonuses, benefits and other forms of compensation.
