Job description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator, you will develop accurate cost estimates for defense infrastructure and advisory programs supporting NATO and allied government clients. You will translate technical scope into reliable cost models to support planning, budgeting, and project execution. 

The project assignment is in Belgium.

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ROM, conceptual, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects
  • Analyze design documents, specifications, and scope definitions
  • Support budgeting and financial planning for capital programs
  • Develop cost breakdown structures and lifecycle cost models
  • Support contract modifications, change orders, and pricing analyses
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or program cost control
  • NATO Security Clearance preferred like CTS, NS, or NC
  • Experience with federal or defense infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing models
  • Familiarity with MILCON or similar government frameworks is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and Excel-based modeling skills
