Job description

R&L Dumpsters is a Houston-based dumpster rental company serving homeowners, contractors, roofers, project managers, construction companies, and commercial customers throughout the Houston area. We provide roll-off dumpsters for residential cleanouts, renovations, roofing jobs, construction projects, concrete disposal, commercial cleanouts, and other debris removal needs.

We are hiring a full-time CDL Class A Roll-Off Truck Driver to operate our fleet of Mack roll-off trucks. This is a local position with steady work Monday through Friday, allowing drivers to return home daily.

The right candidate will be an experienced, dependable driver who operates trucks and equipment carefully. Because our drivers interact directly with homeowners, contractors, and project managers during deliveries and pickups, applicants must also be friendly, professional, and respectful.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, exchange, and pick up dumpsters at customer job sites in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate respectfully with homeowners, project managers, contractors, customers, and dispatch.
  • Carefully operate trucks, tarp systems, dumpsters, and other company equipment to prevent avoidable damage.
  • Check overhead clearance and surrounding conditions before loading, unloading, or operating the tarp system.
  • Position dumpsters carefully to avoid damaging driveways, customer property, job sites, or company equipment.
  • Properly secure and tarp every load before transportation.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Promptly report mechanical problems, equipment damage, accidents, or unsafe job-site conditions.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Keep the assigned truck clean and presentable.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Minimum two years of roll-off truck driving experience required.
  • Safe driving record.
  • Experience operating hydraulic roll-off and tarp systems.
  • Friendly and professional when interacting with customers.
  • Careful and responsible with trucks and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to identify clearance issues and unsafe job-site conditions.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties required by the position.
  • Familiarity with Houston-area roads and construction sites is preferred.
