About the Job
Summary:
The Tow Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient pickup and delivery of vehicles at customer sites to company sites. Perform all job duties in accordance with established work procedures.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Drives truck in a safe manner at all times.
  • Picks up and delivers vehicles to Metalico yards safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for inspecting customer vehicle to make sure it's in agreement with the deal that was made between customer and Metalico representative.
  • Driver will be responsible for matching up customer title to VIN number and bringing title back to scale house.
  • Responsible for maneuvering truck at customer's site in a safe and accident-free manner at all times.
  • Monitors mechanical functions of the truck, responsible for reporting any issues to their reporting manager or the maintenance supervisor.
  • Ensures truck is kept clean inside and out.
  • This position makes safety a top priority and looks for opportunities to improve on safety, follows all safety rules and wears appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Participates in monthly safety meetings.
  • Delivers finished non-ferrous product/material to purchasers.
  • Picks up parts/ tools for maintenance.
  • Delivers packages to shipping service.
  • General labor duties will be required to be performed at the main when tow truck services are not needed at the time.
  • Ensure that Quality, Environmental, and Safety Standards of Metalico, Inc. for production, customers and employees are consistently achieved.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Clean driving record.
  • Rollback flatbed towing single and double vehicles required (Chevy 5500 rollback with wheel lift for additional vehicle).
  • Safety oriented.
  • Class B License is preferred.
Work Hours:
  • Monday through Friday, 40+ hour work week, Saturdays, and overtime required as needed.
