Job Description  

ADGA has an immediate opening for an Electronics Technician to join our team. We welcome candidates at the junior, intermediate, or senior level, with salary aligned to the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. Junior and intermediate technicians will receive mentorship and training and have the opportunity to grow within the program, while senior technicians will bring a higher level of technical expertise to the role.  
This role will support the maintenance of advanced electronic security systems, including motion detectors, intrusion detection systems, drone detection systems, CCTV, Radio Communications, Public Address, Metal Detectors, X-Ray Machines & more.  

 What You'll Do:  

The role involves performing both preventative and corrective maintenance, calibrating test equipment, and troubleshooting or repairing faulty modules either on-site or by arranging off-site service. Conducting inventory checks, logging all work in the Maintenance Information System (MIS), and inspecting repaired items to ensure quality compliance. Technicians are expected to maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to all safety and security protocols, provide after-hours on-call support and phone assistance to colleagues when needed, and stay current with system updates, completing all required On-the-Job Training within 12 months. 

Qualifications

  • Au minimum 1 an d'expérience pratique dans la maintenance de plusieurs systèmes électroniques tels que :   
    • Sécurité (c'est-à-dire système de détection d'intrusion, vidéosurveillance, systèmes d'alarme, etc.)   
    • Communication (c'est-à-dire système de sonorisation, système d'interphone, système téléphonique, etc.)    
    • Opérationnel (c'est-à-dire systèmes de contrôle d'accès, systèmes de gestion des clés, etc.)  
  • Solides compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes et de communication  
  • Doit détenir ou être admissible à obtenir et à maintenir une habilitation de fiabilité renforcée du gouvernement fédéral (niveau 1). ADGA prendra en charge le processus d’habilitation pour les personnes retenues.  
  • Doit détenir ou être disposé.e  à obtenir les certifications CompTIA A+ et Network+. ADGA parrainera les candidats retenus qui ne détiennent pas ces certifications.  

What You Need:  

  • Graduated with a diploma in Industrial/Communication Technician, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or a similar discipline; and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.   
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience maintaining multiple electronic systems such as:   
    • Security (i.e. Intrusion Detection System, CCTV, Alarm Systems, etc.)   
    • Communication (i.e. Public Address System (PA), Intercom System, Telephone System, etc.)   
    • Operational (i.e. Access Control Systems, Key Management Systems, etc.)  
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills  
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Enhanced Reliability Clearance (Level 1). ADGA will process clearances for successful candidates.   
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a CompTIA A+ and Network+ (ADGA will sponsor successful candidates who do not hold these certifications).
