Unimacts, a steadfast figure in the industrial sector located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is currently on the lookout for seasoned Senior Machine Technicians/Line Leads adept at overseeing the operation of ERW tube rolling equipment. This role entails a dual approach - offering leadership and taking a direct, hands-on role in ensuring the seamless functioning of the equipment. The position is for the 2nd Shift (3PM-2AM) with ability to rotate between shifts (if needed).
The appointed Rolling Forming Machine Technician is not only responsible for the meticulous upkeep, adjustment, and management of the designated equipment but also helms the role of a line leader, coordinating line operators and assuring quality and safety standards are met rigorously. Unimacts harbors "industrial business athletes," offering opportunities for cross-functional training, thus enabling versatility in roles:
  • Oversee all facets of ERW Roll Form Equipment performance to realize Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives, spearheading continuous improvements to optimize cost-efficiency.
  • Execute regular safety inspections on the equipment, fostering a safe work environment in alignment with ERW tube production standards.
  • Employ SPC techniques to align process inputs with customer requirements, guaranteeing a high-quality product.
  • Expedite tooling changeovers utilizing SMED techniques, thus reducing disruptions in production.
  • Champion preventive maintenance through TPM techniques, averting equipment failures and ensuring timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with ERW roll forming equipment to enhance OEE performance.
  • Supervise line performance to meet daily production output and quality goals.
  • Support the Production Supervisor in coordinating the endeavors of line operators.
  • Ensure data entry in the computer system abides by established protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and standards as dictated by ISO 9001 and the Unimacts Operating System.
  • Engage in organized job training sessions and willingly learn new systems and methodologies as necessary.

Requirements
  • A background encompassing 3 to 6 years in roll forming equipment or as a maintenance technician.
  • Profound hands-on experience with ERW Tube Roll Form equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of electric resistance welding equipment functionality and adjustment.
  • Expertise in TPM, including adeptness in setting up and monitoring equipment using analysis techniques such as bearing temperature analysis.
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and blueprints, coupled with excellent presentation skills to convey information to the management effectively.
  • Solution-oriented approach to practical problems, handling multiple variables adeptly.
  • Proficiency in English, embodying a team player spirit, and demonstrating the capacity to work in a high-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality control system and lean manufacturing SPC.
  • Physical readiness to lift up to 50 pounds and showcasing excellent vision or capability to use prescribed lenses.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, paralleled with a thorough comprehension of relevant safety guidelines and sharp decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
