About the role
  • The Mortgage Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that drive production, skill development, and revenue growth across the sales organization. This role plays a critical part in onboarding new hires, elevating mid-level producers, and sharpening top performers. The ideal candidate understands high-velocity sales environments, thrives on accountability, and knows how to turn potential into production.

What you'll do
Training & Development
  • Lead new hire sales training from onboarding through ramp - up
  • Develop structured training programs for licensed Mortgage Loan Officers
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and ongoing skill-based coaching sessions
  • Create curriculum focused on scripting, objection handling, product knowledge, and closing techniques
  • Implement roleplay frameworks and call-review sessions

Performance Coaching
  • Monitor individual and team KPIs (calls, contacts, applications, funded volume)
  • Provide 1:1 coaching to improve conversion rates and sales confidence
  • Identify performance gaps and create improvement plans
  • Partner with sales leadership to elevate underperforming producers

Systems & Compliance
  • Train on CRM systems, LOS platforms, and internal processes
  • Reinforce compliance standards and ethical sales practices
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and borrower experience

Culture & Accountability
  • Help build a competitive, high-performance sales culture
  • Promote accountability and ownership among team members
  • Lead by example in professionalism, energy, and discipline

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales experience (mortgage or financial services preferred)
  • 1+ year in training, coaching, or leadership role preferred
  • Proven track record of personal production and/or developing high performers
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products and loan origination process
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze sales metrics
