Job description

Holman has a great opportunity for a Print Shop Operator to join our Graphics team in Bartlett, IL!
  • Starting pay: $22/hr
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00AM-7:30PM ( regular Hours)
  • Training Hours- 7:30AM-4:00PM will then transition to regular hours

Principal Purpose of Position:
  • Assist the print production team in preparing, organizing, and managing print jobs from start to finish.
  • Review artwork, layouts, and print-ready files to ensure accuracy and compliance with production standards.
  • Coordinate with designers, vendors, and internal teams to collect assets and clarify project requirements.
  • Maintain production schedules, update job trackers, and monitor deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and assemble materials for printing, including proofs, templates, and job packets.
  • Operate basic print and finishing equipment as needed (e.g., printers, plotters, laminators, application machines)
  • Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure color accuracy, alignment, and overall consistency.
  • Assist in managing inventory of vinyl, ink, and other production supplies.
  • Support shipping, packaging, and distribution of completed print orders.
  • Keep the production area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Track print progress and communicate job status updates to production leads or supervisors.
  • Support print shop assistants as needed. (Assist with the finishing of decals, including weeding, masking, trimming, laminating, and prepping materials for shipment.)

What are we looking for?
  • 1-2 years' experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Edge, Google Chrome, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge in Print RIP software is desired but not necessary
  • Basic Illustrator skills are desired but not necessary
  • Large format print operation is desired but not necessary ( HP Latex 2700 and Roland 54" 60" Ecosol printers )
  • Large format lamination/application machine is desired but not necessary
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
