TITLE: Substitute Teacher
RATE: $130/day for substitute teachers with registered PEL and $120/day for substitute teachers without PEL
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid and appropriate Illinois licensure (PEL, SUB, STS, or ELS/PARA w/ B.S. degree).
  • License registered with the Regional Office of Education - 53
  • Regional Office 53 sub list registration
  • Successful completion of fingerprint based criminal background check (IL State Police and FBI), Sex Offender and Violent Youth Offender screening.
  • Successful completion of a physical exam.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Once you have completed the application, you may be contacted for an interview as the next step of the hiring process.
You will need the following:
  • The original approval letter from the ROE along with the criminal history reports from the Illinois State Police and FBI (to be completed at the ROE).
  • A copy of the Statement of Physical Fitness from a physician.
  • Copies of college transcripts
  • Appropriate forms of identification as required for the I-9 - Employment Eligibility Verification form. (ex. Passport or Driver's License and Social Security Card).

  • Adheres to a professional code of ethics which includes confidentiality of school related matters.
