Lead Physician — Family Medicine, Rocklin, CA (Starts in Auburn)
Pay: $261,600 – $324,350 per year | Job Type: Full-time or Part-time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, opening or closing shift — no nights, no weekends, no hospital call | Start: December 2026 – February 2027

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, financially stable Tribal Federally Qualified Health Center that has served Native American and underserved communities across Placer and Nevada counties for roughly 50 years. Their new South Placer clinic — a 62,000 sq ft facility — will add ~15,000 patients. They're intentionally opening with a lean, highly collaborative team and want a leader who demonstrates initiative, ownership, cross-discipline collaboration, and a genuine desire to build something new.
What You'll Do
- Provide full-scope outpatient family medicine: adult and pediatric primary care, chronic disease management, and minor procedures
- Supervise and mentor the Rocklin provider team; conduct chart reviews for FNPs/PAs
- Help develop protocols, standard procedures, and patient-care initiatives for the new clinic
- Serve as a liaison with the local medical community
- Document in eClinicalWorks (eCW) using SOAP format
Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active California medical license (required upfront)
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Current DEA registration
- 2+ years of clinical experience in direct primary care; demonstrated leadership capability
- BLS certification
- Sensitivity to Native American culture and health needs
Good to Know
- Employment starts between December 2026 and February 2027 at the Auburn clinic, transferring to Rocklin when it opens (~March 2027)
- Credentialing takes ~90 days and is completed prior to start
