Certified Sr. Histotechnician

A leading clinical research organization is searching for a Certified Sr. Histotechnician to join a high‑impact team working across clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic research.You’ll work hands‑on with advanced platforms and collaborate with scientists and project teams driving meaningful breakthroughs!

Pay: $37–$54/hr DOE
Schedule: M-F 8a-5pm
Location: Houston, TX

What You’ll Do
  • Tissue Processing & Microtomy — Embed, trim, and section tissue at required thicknesses with accuracy and consistency.
  • Support accessioning, frozen sections, grossing assistance, fixation, dehydration, embedding, microtomy, decalcification, coverslipping, and routine H&E staining.
  • Run IHC protocols using Leica Bond III and Ventana systems; assist with assay setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Leica Bond III and Roche Ventana platforms to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Verify control slides, assess staining quality, and maintain high accuracy across all steps.
  • Scan slides and ensure image clarity for downstream analysis.
  • Follow OSHA, CAP, HIPAA, and internal safety standards.
  • Support efficient lab operations and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field
  • HT or HTL certification is required.
  • 1-2 years of industry experience in a clinical or research setting
  • Experience with Leica Bond & Roche instrumentation
