Job Summary:

The Core Lab Implementation Consultant demonstrates and positions the end-to-end value of the Roche portfolio of solutions (systems) and Roche Consulting services to our customers. This field-based position creates value by focusing on implementing complex automated laboratory solutions to improve the customers' desired future state. This position partners with customers and internal stakeholders (sales, global Roche Consulting teams, RSN, marketing, IT, and other teams) to address customers' unique priorities, challenges, and needs through continuous improvement efforts, including (but not limited to) collecting and reviewing customer feedback, refining methods/tools, performing complex analyses, and recommending solutions. This position utilizes a consultative approach and technical expertise to ensure the customer is prepared and the Roche solution is verified to be implemented and deliver expected results.

The Opportunity:

  • Verify and validate that the proposed Roche solution still meets or exceeds customers' expected results before Implementation

  • Provide implementation support to customers and installation teams; collaboratively develop detailed customer installation requirements with customers, Roche Support Network, Workflow Consulting, and other teams

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize the implemented Roche solution and collaborating with appropriate Roche partners to take action to accomplish optimization

  • Collaborate with RC team members to develop metrics that provide data for process measurement; identify indicators for future improvement opportunities; collect data to identify root causes of problems; measure performance against process requirements; align improvement to performance targets

  • Collaborate with fellow Roche Consulting colleagues to use, refine, and evolve proprietary tools and techniques to generate high-value deliverables, best practices, and methods delivering differentiated, value-creating consulting services and position Roche's portfolio of solutions

  • Perform related administrative duties such as creating and submitting expense, reports, and status reports and adhere to any additional regulatory requirements


Who You Are:

The ideal candidate is a seasoned laboratory professional with wide-ranging experience addressing complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of many factors. Exercising appropriate judgment in selecting evaluation methods and determining solution criteria is critical. The ideal candidate demonstrates agility in a rapidly changing, matrixed organization and is comfortable operating in an evolving, ambiguous environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating the activities of others, networking with internal and external senior personnel in areas of expertise, and networking with key contacts outside the area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Sciences or closely related scientific/technical discipline.

  • Experience with process mapping, statistical and reporting tools

  • 5 years of experience in Operations, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory or equivalent, including experience in successfully leading cross functional teams in driving results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical Laboratory experience with understanding of workflow and functions, preferable in chemistry

  • Master's degree in business or healthcare discipline (MBA, MHA, MHSA, MPH)

  • Black Belt, Master Black Belt, and/or Champion certification in Lean Six Sigma or other similar, advanced continuous improvement certification

  • Strong organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills to uncover key technical, operational, and strategic issues and to effectively lead, manage, and influence people at various organizational levels internally and within the customer site.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills to influence customer decision-makers by articulating ideas and influencing others to adopt solutions. This includes the ability to credibly recommend changes to lab practices to improve waste, cost, quality, and turnaround times.

  • Familiarity with Roche and/or competitor Products

Additional Information:
  • This is a remote, field-based position. The candidate is willing to travel approximately 75%, including overnight stays. Travel requirements will fluctuate weekly based on business needs.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is 98,800.00 - 183,400.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
