With strong administrative support, an experienced APP, and a flexible practice model, this position is ideal for a general urologist seeking autonomy and long-term growth. Those with interests in urologic oncology, especially prostate cancer, within a general urology framework, would be able to easily grow this volume. Whether you are an experienced physician looking to build and shape your own practice or an independent new graduate seeking flexibility, this opportunity offers both stability and work-life balance in a warm Texas community.
About the Hospital:
• 330 licensed beds, is a regional referral center
• Advanced imaging with a 64-slice CT scanner and Open Concept MRI
• DaVinci robotic equipment for cutting-edge procedures
• The area’s first dedicated Women & Children’s Center
• Level III trauma designation for comprehensive emergency care
Position Highlights:
• Opportunity to build and grow a full-scope general urology practice
• Busy Cancer center—opportunity to grow oncology-related urology, especially prostate
• Strong referral network from surrounding rural communities
• Join an experienced Nurse Practitioner
• Office space readily available
• Robotics training preferred (da Vinci Xi surgical system with Trumpf bed and full positioning attachments available)
• Opportunity for 4-day workweek
• Call coverage: 10 days per month (5 days contractual + 5 days paid)
• Established anesthesia coverage for smooth surgical scheduling
• Dedicated surgery days with a fully supported surgical team
• Call burden described as manageable, not overly demanding
