2. Robotics Engineer

Job Title: Robotics Engineer Company: Bright IA – Intelligent Automation Location: Fort Worth, TX (on-site + regional client sites) Type: Full-time

About Us Bright IA is a controls and robotics system integrator and machine builder serving the manufacturing industry across DFW and the Southwest U.S. We're a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, KUKA Partner, Lincoln Electric Authorized Robotic Integrator, and ABB integrator. We design and build robotic work cells for welding, palletizing, material handling, assembly, and inspection.

The Role We're looking for a Robotics Engineer who lives and breathes robot integration — someone who can take a cell from layout and simulation through programming, commissioning, and customer handoff.

Responsibilities

  • Program, integrate, and commission FANUC robotic work cells (handling, welding, palletizing, inspection)
  • Build and simulate cells in RoboGuide; design EOAT and tooling interfaces
  • Configure robot safety (DCS / Safe I/O) and integrate with Allen-Bradley PLC controls
  • Interface robots with vision systems, conveyors, and line equipment
  • Commission on-site, optimize cycle times, and support customer startup
  • Document programs, I/O, and safety configurations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on industrial robotics integration experience
  • Strong FANUC programming and commissioning (TP / KAREL, RoboGuide) — required
  • Working experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC integration — required
  • Understanding of robot safety standards and DCS configuration
  • Comfortable on the plant floor and traveling to client sites
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for ITAR-controlled and government-related work)

Preferred

  • KUKA, ABB, or collaborative robot (CRX) experience
  • Robotic welding (Lincoln Electric, Miller) or vision-guided robotics
  • EOAT/fixture design (SolidWorks), EtherCAT/EtherNet/IP, functional safety

What We Offer High-impact robotics projects with leading OEM platforms, a skilled and motivated team, and a culture built on integrity, precision, and getting it done.
