Polaris Huntsville Internal Promotion / TransferRequirements:

    • Candidates already assigned to the work unit (Assembly, Weld, Materials, Quality, etc.) willbe considered first.If a suitable candidate is not identified, all other eligible candidates will be considered.

    • Failure to attend a scheduled interview (No Show), without notice, will result in being ineligible for future roles for 6 months.

    • If selected for the position, youare required tomove into the position upon the effective date.If you are no longer interested in the position, you must withdraw prior to an offer being presented.If unable to accept the position as expected, you will be ineligible for future roles for 1 year from the date of refusal.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • High School Diploma or GED required (2 year degree preferred).
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must understand paint surface finish requirements be able to read blueprints and follow standard work instructions
  • Detail orientated.
  • Paint process experienced, 2 year minimum
  • Basic understanding of paint parameters (i.e. air pressure, fluid pressure, voltage)
  • Must be capable of traveling to robotic vendor within one year of hiring
  • Customer service skills and support for day to day operations of robotic system
  • Previous robotic operation a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain daily rate of robotic system to support highest possible production capabilities by identifying issues and creating action plans
  • Communicate with counterparts on other shifts
  • Know how to operate a complete paint booth and maintain paint brought into control booth in paint pots
  • Support robot programming activities of upcoming products as assigned by programmer
  • Support and maintain robotic data collection for trouble shooting and keep accurate day to day maintenance log of robot systems.
  • Assist programmers in monitoring First Time Quality (FTQ) of paint process
  • Support quality improvement projects within paint to analyze and interpret best course of action for improvement.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards within the department and company
  • Responsible for following SOPs and other process related activities and provide feedback to improve work flow and process
  • Responsible for rebuilding paint guns per the maintenance schedule
  • Provide flexibility with work hours to support extended production hours or staffing shortages on other shifts
  • Miscellaneous duties as required

Base Pay Range:

$24.66 - $29.47
