US Synthetichas an immediate need foraMaintenanceTechnicianIIIlocatedinOrem, UT.TheMaintenanceTechnician III willbe responsible fortroubleshooting and performing advanced repairs on equipment, focusing onmechanical,electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. This role includes conducting preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance ona largevariety of machines and equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting with machine issues on down-calls and repair equipment per machine schematics whether mechanical, electrical,pneumaticor hydraulic machines and presses
  • Respond to work orders to improve production capacity or flow and minimize waste
  • Perform machine movesfor existing and new machines depending on demand
  • Design and perform upgrades on machines with teams
  • Train others to maintenance responsibilities as needed; direct and train production employees in Total Production Maintenance (TMP) efforts
  • Follow LOTO procedures and usea multimeter introubleshootingand diagnosing problems
  • Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices, Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of higher education degree or certificate(s) in Maintenance related fieldsi.e.AET, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, etc.and/or15+years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair of industrial machines
  • High school diploma/GEDisrequired
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
  • Understand mechanical,electricaland hydraulic schematics andutilizewhen performing maintenance repairs
  • Willing tocomply withsafety regulations andmaintainclean orderly work area (5S)

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb and work from ladders,platformsand machinery
  • Full range of body motion,i.e.lifting, kneeling,squattingand twisting
  • Use of Safety Equipment (Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Hearing protection,occasionallywear a respirator)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the application of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method, with the ability to think critically and assess cause-and-effect relationships during down-calls.
