Overview

WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with nearly 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. We are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care and to quality, caring, and compassionate physicians. We are seeking a board certified/board eligible general thoracic surgeon to join our established group in Raleigh, NC. The surgeon will participate in minimally invasive and/or robotic general thoracic surgery and will join a team serving a Raleigh-based hospital and a Cary location. The WakeMed Physician provides quality clinical care and may contribute to teaching and supervision of residents, medical students, and APPs. The role may include appropriate coding and corporate compliance responsibilities and some general administrative duties. The physician reports to the Director of their assigned division and supports the mission and values of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.

Programs in our organization include a growing medical oncology program and a growing robotic interventional pulmonology program. We seek a surgeon to step in for a colleague transitioning out of clinical practice.
