This role plays a key part in delivering custom automation solutions across a variety of manufacturing applications including welding, material handling, assembly, and machine tending.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on programming, working closely with engineering teams, and seeing automation systems come to life from concept through installation.

Responsibilities

  • Program and implement robotic systems based on customer specifications and project requirements
  • Coordinate front-end application and reach reviews to ensure successful system design
  • Develop, verify, and execute off-line and on-line robot programming
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineers and Application Engineers to ensure full system functionality
  • Support system integration, start-up, debugging, and customer acceptance activities
  • Assist with customer training and on-site commissioning when needed
  • Optimize robot paths and system functionality to improve cycle time and throughput
  • Install and configure hardware and software components within automation systems
  • Maintain high standards of quality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, including meeting timelines and budget expectations
  • Travel as required to support project execution

Requirements

  • Experience with robotic programming within industrial automation environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, material handling, or assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems and integration workflows (highly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with system start-up, debugging, and commissioning
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a plant floor environment
  • Comfortable working with Windows-based systems and general PC tools
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as fork trucks and overhead cranes (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project support

Nice to Have

  • Experience improving cycle times and system efficiency within robotic applications
  • Exposure to multiple robotic platforms (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
  • Previous experience working directly with customers in automation projects
