As a Robotics Engineer, AI Applications & Engineering Productivity, you will help advance the CORI robotic surgery platform by developing AI powered capabilities that improve patient outcomes while enabling engineering teams to work more effectively. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, software engineering, machine learning, and medical innovation.

What will you be doing?

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI powered features for the CORI robotic surgery platform.

  • Apply machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and data driven techniques to enhance product functionality and user experience.

  • Develop software services, APIs, and workflows that integrate AI capabilities into existing products and engineering applications.

  • Support the prototyping, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.

  • Implement and support AI assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitLab Duo, Copilot, and related technologies to improve engineering efficiency.

  • Build automation and tooling that improve code quality, testing, documentation, traceability, and software development workflows.

  • Collaborate on software architecture, system integration, code reviews, and CI/CD initiatives across robotic software and cloud-based systems.

  • Ensure AI enabled solutions align with cybersecurity, privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industry experience.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ with experience developing production quality software applications.

  • Hands on experience with Generative AI, machine learning, large language models, AI agents, or related technologies.

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, Agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Preferred experience with Azure OpenAI, cloud AI platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, robotics, healthcare technologies, or regulated software environments.
