Machine Seibi Technician – Body Weld

About the Opportunity

Machine Technicians to support Body Weld equipment installation, startup, and production preparation activities within an advanced automotive manufacturing environment.

This role will support Seibi activities from equipment installation through start of production while working closely with engineering teams, vendors, technicians, and manufacturing operations across North America.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive manufacturing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and exposure to robot programming and automated production equipment.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Inspect and confirm new or modified manufacturing equipment prior to production launch
  • Prepare manufacturing equipment for production readiness and startup activities
  • Perform onsite robot programming and interlock confirmation
  • Validate that new model equipment meets established safety, quality, and production standards
  • Support Body Weld equipment preparation and confirmation activities at vendor locations
  • Support Seibi activities from installation through start of production at manufacturing facilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop countermeasures during setup and production trials
  • Collaborate with engineers, vendors, maintenance teams, and production personnel during launch activities
  • Support weekend, holiday, shutdown, and off-shift activities during peak launch periods
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support manufacturing projects

Qualifications | What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and production environments
  • Experience with robot programming and equipment interlocks
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience mentoring and/or providing technical training
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to support overtime, weekends, shutdown periods, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related technical field
  • Body Weld manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting equipment startup and launch activities

Additional Information
  • Standard Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Overtime: Up to 30% based on project and production needs
  • Travel: Up to 70% domestic and international travel
  • PPE Required:
    • Steel-toed shoes above ankle required
    • Additional PPE provided onsite
