GENERAL FUNCTION
The Manufacturing Process Technician III is the primary technical resource for Digital Surfacing Technology. The Process Technician III acts as a primary resource in ensuring the success of all operational aspects, of the DST lines.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acquires and maintains a detailed understanding of the products, processes and equipment required for digital surfacing.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of discipline, integrity and work ethic to members of the team.
  • Directs activities of operators and inspectors.
  • Enforces process disciplines.
  • Resolves process problems to affect minimum downtime and maximum process yields, while utilizing established problem solving methods, technical resources and by working with fellow associates, management and outside vendors.
  • Executes and completes daily production plans and schedules managing work flow, to ensure that hourly established production goals and standards are being met while maintaining high quality and low breakage.
  • Controls the use of labor, process supplies and tools to meet plan budgets.
  • Maintains supply inventory, process tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and optimum throughput at all times.
  • Performs all necessary routine maintenance, including planning and tracking, utilizing maintenance management software. Assists Maintenance Technicians with teardown and rebuild of equipment.
  • Assists in the development and execution of training plans in conjunction with DST production Manager.
  • Maintains and reports production data, reports, logs, charts or other tracking tools as required.
  • Provides support and maintains open communication with facility management, engineering, and other staff.
  • Performs or directs calibration of all equipment & tooling, maintaining documentation per ISO standards for all DST equipment and processes.
  • Supports team, to consistently meet Key Operating Measures such as Quality Control, Breakage Cost/Rx, Equipment Utilization, Attendance, and On-time delivery.
  • Demonstrates and utilizes continuous improvement techniques to exceed minimum standards.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a process or manufacturing technical role
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot, control systems, robotics, and automated equipment
  • Competency in Windows based architecture and with Microsoft applications
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a disciplined structured work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in high volume lean manufacturing/continuous flow operations
  • Training in a technical field and basic understanding of automation & process control logic
