Job description

DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We have an Opening for an Employer Relations Consultant. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and strengthening the relationship between DMBA and its sponsoring organizations. This position ensures high-quality service and effective collaboration with the Human Resources departments of those organizations. Success in this role requires in-depth knowledge of DMBA benefits and systems, as well as strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues. Additionally, the Consultant must possess high-level presentation skills to educate and inspire plan participants to make the most of their generous employer-paid benefits. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their skills and gain experience in Employer Relations area. The Employer Consultant serves as the face of the company, representing our commitment to excellence and partnership-helping our plan participants be healthy and prepare for retirement.
Duties:
  • Strategically manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with sponsoring organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between DMBA and client HR teams to ensure timely and professional resolution of client needs
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all DMBA health and financial benefits
  • Support the creation and distribution of educational materials for Open Enrollment, new-hire orientations, and ongoing benefits training to ensure employee understanding and preparedness for benefit changes
  • Assist in planning and executing DMBA's employer conferences and Employee Advisory Committee (EAC) meetings
  • Contribute to the development of benefit books, presentations, and other training materials
  • Support employers with employee education initiatives, including live and virtual sessions, data and statistical reporting, severance packages, and annual reporting requirements
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with employees and employers, offering expert guidance to support informed benefit decisions and effective issue resolution
  • Travel required

Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Required:
  • Client-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support
  • Three to five years of experience supporting clients with employee health and financial benefit programs, as well as employee education.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills while consistently demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to high standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work well under pressure
  • Effective training and presentation capabilities
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, taking initiative while offering process improvements solutions

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of DMBA Health and Financial benefits
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications or continuing education relevant to employee benefits (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, RPA)
  • Knowledge of ACA, ERISA, and COBRA compliant
  • Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Knowledge of DMBA Health and Financial benefits
