Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales goals as outlined in the compensation plan.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional communication and satisfaction.
  • Lead regular business reviews with partners to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and drive results.
  • Support partners throughout the sales cycle, including customer visits, virtual meetings, demonstrations, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
  • Manage territory or account performance to meet sales and margin objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments to align resources and deliver best-in-class service.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts and related documentation.
  • Travel frequently within the assigned territory; a valid driver's license and full-coverage automobile insurance are required.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a strong technical background and a proven record of success selling automation or robotics systems in a dynamic, customer-driven environment. You should be able to:
  • Present complex technical solutions clearly and confidently to partners and customers.
  • Educate partners on industry trends, emerging technologies, and growth opportunities.
  • Share competitive insights and communicate new Yaskawa offerings effectively.
  • Inspire and support partner sales teams to achieve shared goals.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two (2) years of field-based, "in-territory" sales experience preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of robotics and automation is highly preferred.
  • Formal robotics training, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Self-motivated, organized and driven to achieve results.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong manufacturing and technical comprehension.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight and air travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves frequent communication, computer work and travel. The employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, or lift up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
