Job description

The Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Paint & Robotics Technician, based out of our Charlestown, Indiana location. Responsibilities would include:

  • Robot Programing & Optimization:ย  Create, modify, and optimize 6-axis robot paths and paint parameters (gun distance, trigger points, fan patterns) to improve transfer efficiency and reduce paint consumption
  • System Setup:ย  Independently set up and calibrate automated spray equipment and applicators for new and in-production parts.
  • Troubleshooting:ย  Diagnose and resolve robotic, mechanical, electrical, or paint process issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
  • Maintenance & Repair:ย  Perform preventative maintenance and repair end-of-arm tooling, paint robots, and secondary equipment.
  • Quality Control:ย  Ensure paint finish meets OEM specifications (film build, adhesion, appearance)
  • Documentation:ย  Maintain updated, accurate robot programs, standard work instructions, and setup sheets.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an automated, industrial manufacturing environment, specifically working with paint robots.
  • Programming Skills:ย  Proven hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting 6-axis robots (FANUC or similar).
  • Technical Knowledge:ย  Strong understanding of paint application techniques, fluid deliver systems, and coating processes.
