Merion Landscape Services, LLC is a leading provider of landscape maintenance, specializing in the operations and maintenance of transportation and public works infrastructure assets. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality services and maintaining the safety and aesthetics of our community. We are currently seeking a full-time Roadside Mowing Tractor Operator to join our team in the Tampa, FL area. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including John Deere 6130 tractor and 15' Bush Hog mowing decks, to perform roadside mowing and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks such as small machine mowing, weed control, and other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Adjust to changing work schedules and be available for on-call and overtime work as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 year of experience operating heavy equipment, including John Deere 6130 tractor and 15' Bush Hog mowing decks.
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain and use proper safety equipment for each job.
  • Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
  • Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required.
  • Experience in roadway maintenance, small machine mowing, and weed control is preferred.
  • MOT Certifications are a plus.
