The Router Specialist facilitates the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders using our Roadnet software package to generate the best possible routing solutions. The Router/Dispatcher monitors daily route performance and assists the Operations team in completing immediate route needs and adjustments.
The schedule for this position varies as the below schedule:
(Sunday-Thursday shift)
Sunday 1:00pm-7:00pm
Monday-Thursday-11:00am-8:00pm
You will:
  • Establish delivery routes that are cost-effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines
  • Utilize the Roadnet application to ensure delivery costs are held to company-expected run rates
  • Perform Roadnet application routing maintenance daily to ensure all locations have accurate information.
  • Route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depot, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment, and DOT road checks
  • Plan maintenance of equipment
  • Perform a recap of the previous day's actual routing results; make necessary changes/adjustments
  • Communicate efficiently with drivers on the road
  • Collaborate with management to modify routes to accommodate the customers' needs
  • Maintain an exceptional level of customer service, quality, and satisfaction
  • Help reship & handle inbound returns
  • Track deliveries and make the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers

You have:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • 1 - 3 years of distribution, logistics, transportation, or related work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and process skills
  • Proficient in computer skills, including routing software applications
  • 1 year of experience with "Roadnet" software is required.
