TheComptrollerwillhandlehigh-levelaccounting,managerialaccounting,andoverseethefinancialactivitiesofthe subsidiary Renaissance Neighborhood Development Company (RNDC). As head of RNDC accounting, The Comptroller will be responsible for the accurate financial analysis and audit readiness for multiple affordable rental housing properties in various stages of our development, including those in pre-development and construction as wellasourstabilizedportfolioofpropertiesworkingalongsideRNDC’sFinanceandAccountingManager.Underthe general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Comptroller advances the mission of RNDC through the fulfillment of its strategic plan and the continued growth of our housing portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with Development Directors on finance closings and ensure proper fund flow during project launch.
  • Process monthly construction draws and confirm timely contractor payments.
  • Fulfill financial conditions throughout development phases.
  • Maintain relationships with lenders and funders; ensure tax efficiency in for-profit transactions.
  • Supervise RNDC accounting operations, including reconciliations and oversight of Accounting & Finance Manager.
  • Maintain books for General Partner entities and review monthly YARDI reports and financial statements.
  • Coordinate with Property Management on financial corrections and handle reserve withdrawals per partnership agreements
  • Prepare cost summaries and forecasts for audits; create certifications at project completion.
  • Manage project audits and serve as liaison for RNDC audits.
  • Set up and reconcile project bank accounts; maintain 3-year cash forecast projections
  • Prepare 13 Week Cash forecast on a biweekly basis
  • Submit RNDC operating budgets and provide financial reports as required.
  • Support CFO with board reporting and respond to funder and lender inquiries.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Adheretothedesignateddresscodeasstipulatedforthespecificrole.
SUPERVISORYDUTIES:
  • Supervises Finance and Accounting Manager directly. Provides additional indirect supervision over Property Accountants.
  • Provides collaborative expertise and functional direction to the property management function directors and managers with respect to accounting and finance duties.

  • The Louisiana Housing Corporation, Office of Community Development and local municipalities across Louisiana.
