Title
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Manager - NICU
Schedule
Full-time evening shift (2 PM - 10 PM) with some flexibility; potential for 4-10 hour shifts.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role in an acute care setting
- Specialty certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
- BLS; ACLS preferred
- NRP preferred; RNC-OB preferred
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of daily functions and staffing of the NICU.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
- Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining a superior patient experience.
- Identify development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams.
