An RN Periop 101 Program job is a training position for registered nurses who want to transition into the operating room (OR) nursing specialty. This program includes both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience to develop the skills needed for perioperative nursing. Nurses in this program learn about surgical procedures, patient safety, sterile techniques, and OR protocols. Upon completion, they are prepared to work as perioperative nurses, assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring patient care before, during, and after surgery.

What is the structure of the RN Periop 101 Program, and what can I expect during the training period?

The RN Periop 101 Program is a structured educational initiative designed to transition registered nurses into the operating room environment through a combination of classroom learning, online modules, and hands-on clinical experience. Participants typically rotate through various surgical specialties under the guidance of experienced preceptors, learning key perioperative concepts such as sterile technique, patient positioning, and intraoperative safety. You’ll also attend multidisciplinary team meetings and may participate in case reviews or simulations to reinforce your skills. This immersive training period ensures you build confidence and competence in perioperative nursing, preparing you for a rewarding career in surgical services.
