Position Overview
As a CVOR Registered Nurse, youll provide expert, compassionate care in the operating room during open heart and complex cardiovascular procedures. Your role is integral to patient safety, surgical success, and positive outcomes. Youll assist in pre-op preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and post-op recovery coordinationensuring every step is executed with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care during open heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures
  • Assist the surgical team with instrumentation, sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and support critical intraoperative decisions
  • Coordinate and maintain CVOR readiness, including supplies and surgical equipment
  • Adhere to best practices in infection control and patient safety
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond swiftly to emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical staff, and cardiology teams to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation of intraoperative activities and patient responses
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of CVOR/Open Heart RN experience in an acute care hospital Required
  • Active Florida RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start Required
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-certified) Required
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Ability to take on-call shifts as needed, including one weekday per week and one weekend per month

Compensation & Incentives
  • Hourly Pay Range:
