Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare services to employees in a workplace setting. The nurse will assess workplace injuries and illnesses, coordinate medical care, and support employees in returning safely to work.

This role involves clinical case management, injury assessment, health promotion, and workplace safety support.

Key Responsibilities

Workplace Injury & Illness Management

Provide initial assessment and treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses.

Determine if employees need further medical evaluation or referral.

Manage cases from injury/illness through recovery and return to work.

Clinical Case Management

Serve as a case manager for employee health issues.

Coordinate care between employees, healthcare providers, and management.

Maintain accurate medical documentation and case records.

Employee Health & Wellness Programs

Support workplace occupational health and wellness initiatives.

Develop injury prevention and health promotion strategies.

Provide health education and counseling to employees.

Return-to-Work Coordination

Assist supervisors and employees with:

Work restrictions

Modified duties

Job accommodations

Ensure safe and timely return-to-work processes.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

Conduct workplace walkthroughs and hazard assessments.

Maintain confidentiality of employee health information.

Required Qualifications (Most Important)

โœ” Registered Nurse (RN) with active State License
โœ” Minimum 8+ years of nursing experience
โœ” Experience in Occupational Health, Community Health, Hospital, or Emergency Room settings
โœ” Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
โœ” Experience with Workersโ€™ Compensation cases
โœ” Strong communication and documentation skills
โœ” Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications

โญ Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
โญ Experience in corporate or industrial occupational health settings
โญ Experience managing employee injury cases and workplace health programs
