Senior Test Technician
Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for a Senior Test Technician to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. ATS is a leading provider of massively parallel electronic test systems that includes System Level Test (SLT), burn in and semiconductor/module tests. ATS has an exciting line of high-performance test systems that support the semiconductor industry around the world. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, hands-on, and able to work successfully in a stimulating and fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, Test, and Repair Electronics Systems, Assemblies, Modules, and PCBA's to component level using schematics and other technical documents.
  • Install and assemble New Electro-mechanical Equipment and Components including rework using soldering tools & equipment. IPC-610 is a plus
  • Able to perform proper use of equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Power Supplies, etc.).
  • Perform PCBA testing to verify proper functionality, including executing test procedures and supporting troubleshooting using schematics, test equipment and documentation.
  • Execute system level testing including system bring up on fully assembled units to ensure all sub-assemblies function correctly and meet test requirements by following required test procedures. Working with high voltage Systems is a plus.
  • Support high level assembly testing, validation, final test activities, collaborating closely with Test and Mfg. Engineering and compliance with engineering and quality requirements.
  • Assist production and Engineering with miscellaneous tasks.
  • Update Software and Run Tests on Existing equipment.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance.
  • Maintain Reports and Manuals.
  • Enter failure data and reports into RMA Database.
  • Analyze and Interpret test data.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required primarily to local suppliers.

Requirements, Education & Skills:
  • Associates degree in Electronics and/or 8+ years equivalent experience.
  • RMA process experience.
  • Strong electro-mechanical assembly skills.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
