Description

Join our growing hospital employed Vascular Surgery department at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon to join our current team of 3 vascular surgeons and 3 APCs. This comprehensive practice involves inpatient and outpatient clinic care with bread-and-butter procedures as well as complex aortic, peripheral, and carotid surgery. This is supported with state-of-the-art operating rooms, perioperative facilities, and interventional vascular labs.

RiverBend Medical Center is a 388 tertiary care center with an ACS Level II trauma center designation. Our busy vascular surgery practice has an average of 1,500 cases annually for both open and endovascular procedures with the opportunity for growth and clinical service development. The vascular surgery practice is contained within RiverBend, with onsite clinics, cath labs, and open hybrid ORs. Our vascular surgery clinic has 12 exam rooms, a dedicated vascular ultrasound technician, and procedure room for venous procedures.

Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute is recognized as the regional leading Heart and Vascular center providing vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and supporting team of advanced practice clinicians. These specialists all work in coordination to provide the highest level of vascular care for our patients.

PeaceHealth has a robust primary care referral base in the community, with outreach clinics that provide care for more than 500,000 patients across three counties.

Our ICAVL certified vascular labs perform nearly 12,000 studies each year and are part of a comprehensive diagnostic imaging capabilities that include ICAEL and ICANL certified echo and nuclear labs. The vascular lab is managed by vascular surgery, with a multidisciplinary reading panel.

The communities of Eugene and Springfield are located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, also known as Oregon wine country. Two rivers run through the community, the Willamette River, and McKenzie River. Bike, walk or run the Middle Fork Path along the Willamette River, or spend the day fishing on the McKenzie River.
