By engaging with students and their families, you will play a critical role in fostering resilience, promoting mental health awareness, and facilitating recovery from various mental health conditions.

About the Organization

Riverbend Community Wellness & Mental Health, Inc. is a leading outpatient mental health clinic committed to delivering quality mental health services to individuals of all ages. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive environment that empowers clients to heal and grow. Our focus on evidence-based therapies ensures that our clients receive personalized and effective care.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with our clients from the comfort of your home while contributing to their mental wellness. Although you will primarily work remotely, collaboration with colleagues, school personnel, and other health professionals is essential to provide comprehensive care and support to our young clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the mental health needs, strengths, and resources of clients.
  • Administer individual, family, and group therapy sessions using established, evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Develop customized treatment plans that include clear, measurable goals and detailed interventions tailored to each client’s unique situation.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, teachers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation classes, support groups, and therapy sessions aimed at empowering clients and their families.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to protect clients in distress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress according to ethical, organizational, and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will largely focus on school-aged children and adolescents struggling with mental health challenges. You will engage with a diverse range of students, providing a safe space for them to express their thoughts and emotions. Understanding the unique pressures faced in today's educational environments, you will tailor your approach to each student, employing strategies that resonate with their lived experiences.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic methods and treatment philosophies.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with clients.
  • Solid assessment skills to evaluate clients' needs effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably focused on mental health services.
  • Experience working with school-aged populations and an understanding of school-based health initiatives.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and risk assessment procedures.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from:

  • Comprehensive health insurance plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plans with employer contributions designed to support your long-term financial well-being.
  • Generous paid time off including vacation, personal time, and recognized holidays.
  • Ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge base.
