Job description

River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for a Housekeeping Specialist to join our team in Montrose, Olathe, and Delta Colorado. This person is responsible for the general cleaning and disinfection associated with River Valley locations. The housekeeping staff may work around patients in the clinic and will exercise judgment and discretion with balancing cleaning and housekeeping needs.

The Housekeeping Specialist position is a part-time position; 20 hours per week. We are a growing, exciting place to work, serving our community in a variety of ways. Come join our team! 

A day in the life of a Housekeeping Specialist includes:

  • Performing regular housekeeping responsibilities; documenting projected and completed assignments as necessary.
  • Utilizing environmentally friendly products that preserve human health and the environment. 
  • Maintaining flexibility to complete most tasks during non-traditional hours when patient care is not provided.
  • Identifying and reporting items needing repair or replacement.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $17.00 - $20.00/hour, depending on experience and certifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess creativity, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 12 months in a general housekeeping or a similar environment preferred
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
  • Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting housekeeping activities, and to complete follow-up tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
  • Bilingual skills is preferred.

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, etc. Employees are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
