What is a river cashier?

River Cashiers are employees responsible for managing financial transactions along river-based operations, such as in casinos on riverboats or at river ports. Their duties typically include handling cash, processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing cash drawers. They may also be responsible for ensuring accurate record-keeping and complying with financial regulations specific to river-based businesses. River Cashiers must maintain high levels of accuracy, integrity, and customer service. They often work in environments where compliance with gaming or maritime laws is essential.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a river cashier?

To excel as a River Cashier, you need a solid understanding of cash handling, basic accounting, and customer service, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent.
