JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Operational Risk & Resilience Intern, you will gain exposure to how DTCC identifies, assesses, monitors, reports, escalates, and manages operational risks across the organization. Operational Risk & Resilience partners with business units and corporate functions to help stakeholders understand risk exposures, strengthen decision-making, and support the resilience of critical business processes. You will contribute to risk management activities, reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives while building a practical understanding of operational risk management and resilience in a financial services environment.

At DTCC, interns contribute to meaningful work while learning how the financial markets operate behind the scenes. You will be part of a structured summer experience that combines team-based project work, training, feedback, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with leaders and peers.

About the Summer Internship Program

The Summer Internship Program is a 10-week experience designed to build a strong foundation for early-career talent. The program includes orientation, training, manager engagement, feedback milestones, networking, and development experiences that help students explore potential full-time career paths, including EDGE where applicable.

What you will do

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Operational Risk & Resilience team team in executing key risk management processes, developing reporting and metrics, analyzing risk information, and helping stakeholders understand and manage operational risk exposures.

  • Support operational risk assessments monitoring activities, and analysis efforts used to evaluate operational risk exposures.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining key metrics, dashboards, and management reporting used to monitor operational risk trends and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Produce, maintain, and enhance reporting materials, metrics, and analyses that support risk governance and management decision-making.
  • Support opportunities to improve risk management processes, reporting capabilities, and operational effectiveness through process reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and support functions to support risk initiatives, communicate findings, and contribute to strategic and operational projects.

What will help you succeed

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or any other related field
  • Expected graduation date: Spring 2028
  • Minimum GPA: 3.2
  • Authorization to work permanently in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Coursework, projects, prior work, internship, student organization, volunteer, or leadership experience related to the role.
  • Interest in financial services, technology, operations, risk, data, business, or the specific business area.
