ExodusPoint has brought together an accomplished team, with hands-on experience running multi-manager businesses, to create an institutional investment management firm.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ExodusPoint is seeking an entry-level candidate for an internship in the Quantitative Modeling (QM) team in New York. The QM team is responsible for all aspects underlying the use of valuation and risk models for financial securities across asset classes. Moreover, many quantitative modeling applications rely ever increasingly on the use of historical and scenario data. The ideal candidate will thus have a well-rounded educational background in a STEM discipline, financial engineering, and data science (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence).

Responsibilities:

  • Depending on educational background work on one of more of the following themes:
    • Library Quantitative Development (eg. pricing, financial or data model implementation related)
    • Financial or Data Modeling Analytics (eg. model improvements, securities pricing, financial or macro time series related)
    • Front-End Application Development (eg. end user applications in Excel or Python
    • Quantitative Analytics Infrastructure (eg. quant analytics platform related)
  • Expected Duration of the internship is 3-6 months

Qualifications:

  • Ongoing PhD level or Masters level studies from a top university in a STEM discipline
  • Applied mathematics, statistics and computation focused STEM disciplines preferred
  • Must have exposure to programming and development
  • Exposure to applied mathematics, statistics, data science
  • Exposure to financial engineering preferred, but not a must have
  • Exposure data science, ML and AI techniques is a plus
  • Interest for software development in C++, Python and add-in based Excel
  • Ability to learn new concepts, models, and technologies quickly
  • Intellectual maturity and scientific curiosity are a plus

The salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour.Â
