Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is one of North Texas's most established hospitals. As an 875 bed, full service hospital, we've served the Dallas community and surrounding areas including Lakewood, White Rock, and Highland Park since 1966 with a commitment to high quality, compassionate care. 

We specialize in cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women's services, and emergency medicine. Our hospital is home to a renowned Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. We also offer a wide range of outpatient services, including surgery, wellness programs, and advanced women's imaging. Our Women's Robotic Surgery program holds accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), reflecting our commitment to innovation in women's health and patient safety in surgery. 

Texas Health Dallas is a Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level I Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Heart Attack Center. We are proud to be a designated Magnet hospital and a top choice in North Texas for cancer treatment, emergency services, cardiac care, and bariatric surgery. 

The Risk Management Manager has the following duties and responsibilities:

Manages the day to day operations of hospital risk management and patient advocacy. 
Effectively manages the reporting system with risk staff.
Provides consultation services to medical staff, department managers, and organization personnel through individual meetings and committee participation with respect to patient safety and risk management. Provides education sessions as needed. 
Manages and mentors subordinate personnel in support of the hospital and department goals to foster their growth and development. 
Oversees the processes for analysis, investigation, representation and negotiation of complaints and events. 
Coordinates and collaborates with the Quality manager to facilitates the patient safety activities throughout the organization and in key hospital committees such as the Quality Improvement Patient Safety Council. Directs the preparation of reports and case summaries.
Communicate and collaborate with the Manager of Quality in the areas of data and information management, performance improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to know the latest trends and issues pertaining to patient safety and risk management.

Progressive Management Experience Preferred

CPHRM - Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management with in  2 Years of hire Required
 Or
CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality with in 2 Years of hire Required
Skills
Must be able to demonstrate ability to analyze and manage information. Excellent verbal &
writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of professional and nonprofessional
customers. Requires self directed, goal oriented person. Computer skills with MS
Office.
