Position Description:

Banner Defense is looking for a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer III to join our team! In this role, you will support the MDA Chief Engineer and the Mission Risk Manager (MRM) by assisting with the development of Flight, Technical, and Cyber risks as they relate to both internal MDA systems as well as external systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent, thorough, and integrated management, execution, and products of Flight, Technical, Programmatic and Cyber risks through the MDA Risk Working Group (MRWG).
  • Execute Technical Risk assessments to support MDA Operational Capacity List (OCL) Decisions
  • Provide expert review of evidence related to technical, and Cyber risks presented in System and Element requirements and design reviews.
  • Provide support to elements for risk development.
  • Support Mission Execution and disposition of Execution Risks and Event Observations in Daily MRWGs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • S. Citizenship
  • Intermediate MS Office/TEAMS/PowerBI experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to senior MDA leaders.
  • Experience with Risk development and assessment

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Strong task management skills
  • Experience working with probability and statistics
  • Technical understanding of one or more MDS system
  • Understanding of MDS systems engineering including system assessment
  • Ability to qualify for a TS/SCI clearance
