Job description

Risk Control Specialist

Brown & Brown is seeking a Risk Control Specialist to join our growing team. The role is responsible for professional workersโ€™ compensation risk management services for Comp Alliance members within assigned territories, including annual loss control safety inspections, attendance at member safety committee meetings, routine training programs, and occasional safety article production.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain annual contact with Comp Alliance members, conducting safety inspections, committee attendance, and training.
  • Communicate with members regarding workplace injuries and safety programs.
  • Identify safety hazards and recommend improvements.
  • Use computer programs to report hazards and generate recommendation letters.
  • Decode workersโ€™ compensation injury reports.
  • Collaborate with program team members (Underwriting, Claims, Marketing).
  • Provide training for member employees on various topics using PowerPoint presentations.
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions via Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelorโ€™s degree in business or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent telephone and video communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel by car, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience with safety inspections and training is a plus.
Pay Range

$50,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annual โ€“ based on experience, geography, and budget.
