As a Sr. Associate, Credit Risk, you play a critical role in protecting the organization's assets, products, and services by providing independent oversight of credit quality, strengthening risk management practices, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. You help drive sound credit decisioning, proactive risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement while influencing stakeholders and providing subject matter expertise across the organization.
Position Summary
- Provide independent oversight of the credit quality and risk profile of assigned portfolios, ensuring compliance with credit policies, underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of the Company's credit risk management program, recommending solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce risk exposure.
- Oversee reporting processes to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Execute and maintain risk management controls, credit risk assessments, testing activities, and mitigation plans to support ongoing monitoring and governance efforts.
- Partner with business leaders and control functions to support effective first-line and second-line risk management practices, governance processes, and control frameworks.
- Monitor portfolio performance and credit quality trends, including delinquencies, risk ratings, industry exposures, and individual credit approvals, while providing effective challenge and oversight.
- Lead risk mitigation initiatives, business continuity efforts, and incident response activities that support operational resilience, risk reduction, and industry best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by influencing stakeholders, providing strategic insights, systematizing management reporting, and mentoring team members on credit risk management practices.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required.

Professional Experience
- 9+ years of Risk Management, Credit Risk, or Internal Audit experience - Required.
- 9+ years of Financial Services or Financial Industry experience - Required.
- Demonstrated experience using SQL to write complex queries from scratch for data extraction, analysis, reporting, and risk management activities - Required.
- 9+ years of Consulting experience - Preferred.
