Robot Technician / Mechanic

Job Description

The Robot Technician/Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing robotic systems, equipment, and components. You will assist in the development and selection of diagnostic test and troubleshooting tools, devices, and fixtures. You will also help develop test procedures, work on technical data, and maintain detailed repair activities reports. Maintaining good housekeeping of tools, equipment, and repair areas will be part of your daily tasks. Furthermore, you will develop proposals for equipment purchase, maintenance, and operation instructions. You will assume responsibility for completing assigned projects within negotiated time and cost schedules and perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: Wednesday to Saturday 12am to 10:30am

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robotic systems, equipment, and components.
  • Assist in the development and selection of diagnostic test and troubleshooting tools, devices, and fixtures.
  • Maintain and develop detailed repair activities reports.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of tools, equipment, and repair area.
  • Develop proposals for equipment purchase, maintenance, and operation instructions.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects within negotiated schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read blueprints and complex mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in robotics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of proven competency in a technical capacity.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting robotic equipment and/or industrial automation systems.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, wiring diagrams, and part prints.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
