Job description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and administering human resources programs and initiatives across a multi-state workforce. This role serves as a trusted partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, compliance, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, and HR policies.

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employee life cycle activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and helping to foster a positive and productive work environment. Job Duties
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, employment laws, and company practices.
  • Promote and educate employees on company benefits, programs, policies, and HR initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and assist in resolving employee relations issues, employee complaints, and workplace conflicts.
  • Coach managers on performance management, employee development, corrective actions, and difficult workplace conversations.
  • Administer progressive discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including new hire documentation, orientation, equipment coordination, and training assignments.
  • Manage employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide turnover analysis, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain and administer employee records within Rippling and other HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Process employee transactions within Rippling, including hires, terminations, status changes, and organizational updates.
  • Assist with maintaining current job descriptions and developing new job descriptions as business needs evolve.
  • Monitor employee training compliance and ensure completion of required company and regulatory training programs.
  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate administration of employee programs and records.
  • Support safety and compliance initiatives, including OSHA training requirements, workplace safety programs, and regulatory compliance monitoring.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance HR operations and employee experience.
  • Conduct periodic visits to corporate offices, field locations, and company-operated facilities as required.
  • Respond to HR inquiries and provide general assistance via phone, email, HRIS, and in person.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar professional HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce required.
  • Hands‑on experience with Rippling HRIS required.
  • Experience managing onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee relations matters.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and talent acquisition processes preferred.
  • Experience administering HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
  • Strong data analysis and HR reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical HR recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 annually , depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
