Overview
Working from our Richmond office but mainly in the field meeting property owners, using an approved methodology the Right of Way Agent will secure access (Right-of-Way) to private property so that our clients can place power lines underground lessening the likelihood of a power outage during inclement weather.
Responsibilities
  • A Right-of-Way Agent is assigned specific areas and uses pre-surveyed plans, working independently, to secure permits and other agreements to place power lines and equipment on and/or through private property.
  • Identify areas where access issues require modifications to the field-engineering plan and secure additional permits as needed.
  • Through mailings, calling and visiting individual property owners, secure signed permissions (Right-of-Way) and submit for client approval.
  • Multiple visits may be required until all approvals and /or documentation are secured.

Qualifications
  • No previous Right of Way experience required for this position.
  • Prior real estate, mortgage, education, consulting, or sales experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with real estate and related legal documents.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel & various Microsoft Office programs.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
